Cricketing trends in Twitter

Twitter was abuzz since early morning today as Australia miraculously wrapped up the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground by an innings and 18 runs. The Australia fast bowling trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Jackson Bird along with off – spinner Nathan Lyon forced the Pakistan innings to collapse inside one session and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

The Aussies were obviously happy and the likes of Damien Martyn, Adam Gilchrist, Michale Clarke congratulated the team. Australia now have an incontestable lead and the legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne felt that this was the best time to bring in young leg-spinner Michael Swepson and give him some exposure.

Ravichandran Ashwin mourned the death of his childhood coach. The off-spinner shared this gloomy news with his followers through video where Ashwin is seen practising under his guidance. Michael Vaughan, the other former England skipper, was excited to welcome Australia middle-order batsman Peter Handscomb to the Yorkshire family.

West Indies superstar Darren Sammy was all suited up for an event. Parthiv Patel was yet again left stranded by the Indigo airways and was in a disgusting mood yet again. The wicket-keeper batsman, who leads Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy, was on the way to Nagpur for the upcoming semi-final Ranji Trophy clash with Jharkhand.
