Cricketing trends in Twitter today exploded with Tweets with many congratulating India on securing their top spot in the World Test rankings. VVS Laxman perhaps shared the best photo of the match with Kohli and Rahane taking turns in cleaning the grandstands at the Eden Gardens.

Elsewhere, Murali Karthik and Alec Stewart sat glued to their television sets with the second day’s play of the Ryder Cup commencing on the day. Kevin Pietersen however, missed out on proceedings as his flight from South Africa landed with a picture of the touring party.
