It was all about the New Year celebration in the cricketing universe. 2016, an incredible year filled with capricious moments, finally is coming to an end, paving way for the fresh 2017 enter the horizon. Everyone is waiting for the needle to tick 12 on the clock. The cricketers also were happy bidding goodbye to the highly productive year and expressed their thoughts on Twitter.

While the people in the sub-continent are still waiting for the special moment to arrive, Stephen Fleming, the former New Zealand skipper, was already celebrating the new year with his people and tweeted the photographs of the fireworks. Now, don’t ask why and how?

Steven Smith also wished his followers on the sweet occasion while David Warner was enjoying a family gathering with his wife and other relatives. Kevin Pietersen, who has now turned into an environment conservationist, has been voicing his opinion regarding animal poaching and the decline in their population since the past couple of weeks. Now, he has decided to go a step ahead to let people know about the important of co-existing with other creatures with a sticker on his bat bearing the message.

Michael Vaughan, the former England skipper, had an unique way of wishing the New Year. Vaughan, as a thorough gentleman extended his early wishes to his mates Down Under while mocking them at the same time. He seems to have kickstarted the mind games a year earlier. Must say, that’s quite extraordinary Englishman!
