The cricketing fraternity was quite busy in the twitter space today. It was a quite eventful day which saw many current former cricketers express their opinions related to trending matters. The day can be highlighted by the controversy which erupted after the International Cricket Council (ICC) charged South African skipper Faf du Plessis for ball-tampering.
Du Plessis was caught shining the ball with lolly saliva in a video footage which emerged after the conclusion of the 2nd Test between South Africa and Australia at Hobart. The Proteas cricket team led by Hashim Amla expressed their disappointment and termed this decision as a ‘joke.’ many others like Graeme Smith, Dale Steyn, Matt Prior and Mathew Hayden also disagreed with the ICC’s decision and expressed their thought through tweets.
Meanwhile, in the other part of the world, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was promoting his sporting apparel company Bhajji sports. Jason Holder was grateful to the almighty for all the opportunities he has got so far. Wayne Parnell snapped a selfie with his wife and thanked her for nursing him back to health following an illness.
