The cricketing trends on Twitter today was all festivities and birthday celebrations today. Christmas is around the corner and everyone is busy with the preparations for the year-end delight. England’s wicket-keeper and Women’s cricket starlet Sarah Taylor was feeling proud as an aunt after watching her niece organize her own Christmas party. Jonny Bairstow was also hoping for a bright end to the year with a win in the upcoming Chennai Test which commences tomorrow.

Individually Bairstow had a wonderful year. He currently sits ahead of the likes of Joe Root and Virat Kohli as the highest run-getter in Tests this calendar year. Sri Lanka legend Mahela Jayawardene was perhaps the most excited person when it came to the preparations as he surrounded himself with bottles of premium wine.

Talking about birthdays, West Indies’ Women cricketer Marisa Aguilera, the dashing batswomen, today celebrated her 31st birthday while India’s rising spinner Kuldeep Yadav also turned a year older. Things are pretty different for Chris Gayle for whom every day is a party. Waiting for festivities is for normal people, not for ‘Universe Boss’. The Jamaican star perhaps needs no arrangements to get have good food and enjoy some fine champagne. And, well, off course, when he is doing that he makes sure that his followers are aware of it.

Analysts Simon Hughes was unimpressed with the batting technique of Peter Handscomb and felt Glenn McGrath was batting instead of him for a while. Apart from that, Virender Sehwag also tweeted some jokes. Do check out that as well. No description required as we all know that it would be the same old funny names combined with ‘cricketers name’ messages.
