Twitter was drowned today celebrating India’s 4-0 sweep over England. The hosts, riding on Ravindra Jadeja’s seven-wicket haul, defeated after bundling out the tourist on the final day of the Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

With this win, Team India regained the Anthony D’ Mello trophy after three unsuccessful attempts since 2012. Celebrations were the order of the evening as Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Head Coach Anil Kumble all tweeted victory pictures with their followers on Twitter.

While India celebrated the series, T20 fans in around the world welcomed the much-awaited Big Bash League which commenced today as cross-town rivals Sydney Thunders clashed with Sydney Sixers in the tournament opener. Aaron Finch had a special mate to cheer him for ahead of the important match while Charlotte Edwards, the English women’s cricket legend, was enjoying the healthy dose of Test cricket as well as the Big Bash League.

Apart from the cricketing actions, cricketers were also engaged in some other off-field activities. South African speed king dale Steyn was excited to see Umesh Yadav revv it up on the Chennai flat deck. Steyn’s bowling partner Morne Morkel was enjoying his time fishing in the sea.

Father Mathew Hayden was having a great cooking session with his little one. The duo had crab and other seafood in the menu today. Others were prepping up for the Christmas. Damien Martyn was enjoying festive drinks with his friend while Chris gayle, as usual was ready and set to enjoy a night full of revelry.
