The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Smriti Mandhana, the Indian women’s cricketers, reckons that gratitude is the greatest catalyst to happiness. Mandhana last played competitive cricket in the month of November when she represented the Trailblazers, who won the 2020 edition of the Women’s T20 Challenge, beating Supernovas in the final.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced that the India women’s team would be playing a home series against South Africa. Mandhana is most likely to be picked for the series provided she stays fit enough. Hardik Pandya, the India men’s all-rounder, shared a video of his father, who passed away earlier in the month of January.

Thisara Perera wished Upul Tharanga and Kusal Mendis on their birthday. During the Knockout match of the 2020-21 Big Bash League (BBL) between Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat at the Manuka Oval in Canberra, Usman Khawaja changed his clothes on the ground. Former Sri Lankan cricketer Russel Arnold had a good laugh about the incident at the venue.

Danny Morrison was happy after Muhammad Wasim played a match-winning knock and Nicholas Pooran’s services weren’t needed in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Former Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis was happy to see the Gwadar Stadium in Balochistan.
