As the country celebrated the bond between sister and brothers on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Monday (3 August), many prominent faces of the cricket fraternity extended wishes. Many stars like Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina celebrated the occasion along with sharing photos with their sisters. Twitter was flooded with celebratory and pictures on the account of the festival.
India Women without any international cricket since the conclusion of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 in March. To flag off their campaign, the BCCI have decided to host the Women’s T20 Challenge along the sidelines of the IPL 2020 in UAE. Expressing joy over the same, India Women star Veda Krishnamurthy tweeted out that the event is going to have a huge impact when the world is battling against COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, while clarifying the rumours, revealed that he is keen on taking part in international leagues but he didn’t spill the beans on his availability in any league for now. According to reports, Irfan was going to ply his trade in the Sri Lankan Premier league this year.
Rohit Sharma also hogged the limelight after he conducted Question & Answer (Q&A) session with his fans on Sunday. The right-hander was asked many questions pertaining to his on-field as well as off-field antics, to which he responded with ease.
