The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events. The fourth and final Test between Australia and India is currently underway in Sydney and 30-year-old Cheteshwar Pujara scored his third century of the series to stay unbeaten by the close of play on Day 1. The likes of Yusuf Pathan and former English cricketer Michael Vaughan praised the Saurashtra batsman for the batting masterclass.
The second Test between South Africa and Pakistan is also taking place at Newlands in Cape Town and the hosts bowled Sarfraz Ahmed and Co for 177. Sanjay Majrekar praised the Proteas attack, consisting of the likes of Duanne Olivier, Kagiso Rabada, Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander. New Zealand also played the first ODI against Sri Lanka at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui and won the match by 45 runs.
In that match, James Neesham scored 47 from 13 balls and Ireland cricketer Kevin O’Brien congratulated him. Meanwhile, former Aussie great Mark Waugh is disappointed by the quality of batting against spin in this edition’s Big Bash League (BBL). Yuvraj Singh was saddened after Ramakant Achrekar passed away yesterday.
Manish Pandey sounded motivated after scoring a century in the Ranji Trophy. Gautam Gambhir clarified that he has no plans of joining politics as of now. Mustafizur Rahman was delighted to meet Aussie stalwart David Warner, who would play for Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
