The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. India and Bangladesh locked horns in the first of the three T20Is at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The Tigers and Mahmudullah won the toss, and elected to field first on a slow surface. Rohit Sharma got out early to Shafiul Islam, but Shikhar Dhawan top-scored for them with 41. Some lusty blows from Krunal Pandya and Washington Sundar helped the hosts fetch 30 runs in the last two overs and put up 148 on the board.

At the half-way mark of the Indian innings, the visitors didn’t allow the India to get away. But Aakash Chopra reckoned that it was a great chance for Bangladesh to pull off their maiden victory over the Men in Blue in the T20 format. In the meantime, Manoj Tiwary felt that India will win the match without dropping any sweat. The likes of Krunal Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan posted pictures from practice sessions before the match. Sanju Samson was a happy lot after getting recalled in the Indian team.

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz is looking forward to the second edition of the Mzansi Super League (MSL). JP Duminy posted a picture with his wife Sue Duminy. Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra were excited before featuring in the Kapil Sharma Show. RP Singh and Unmukt Chand sounded concerned with the growing level of pollution in the national capital. The indifferent weather also put under clouds the opening T20I between India and Bangladesh.
