India pacer Mohammed Shami celebrated his 30th birthday today on 3rd September and wishes have poured in from all corners of the country for him. The BCCI extended birthday wishes to Shami by posting a video of Shami’s spell of 5/35 against South Africa in 2019. Skipper Virat Kohli also joined the bandwagon to wish Shami on his special day.

Several members of the Indian side including Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav wishes Shami on his birthday. Shami, a crucial part of India’s bowling force, will be seen donning Kings XI Punjab jersey in the upcoming IPL 2020. Over the past couple of years, Shami has established his place in the national side, becoming a part of India’s pace quartet along with Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav.

Shami had hogged the headlines in 2019 World Cup by scalping a brilliant match-winning hat-trick against Afghanistan. Wishes also poured in for RP Singh after the former India pacer announced the birth of his son. Singh, while tagging his wife, announced on Twitter about the arrival of his baby boy. He was also flooded with congratulatory wishes with no time.

IPL fans, meanwhile, have started expressing their excitement on social media. After many delays, the much-awaited IPL 2020 is finally set to hit the floors from September 19th on the UAE soil. Fans of all the franchises have started wishing their players to perform in the premier domestic tournament. The BCCI is also expected to roll out the tournament’s schedule by Friday. The schedule announcement was delayed after several members of the CSK camp tested positive for coronavirus.
