In their first assignment amid COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistan, led by Azhar Ali, put up a strong show on the first two days against England at Manchester. After losing Abid Ali and skipper Azhar, it was young star Babar Azam who steadied Pakistan’s ship by scoring a valiant 69-run knock. However, after his departure, opener Shan Masood kept ticking the scoreboard and eventually slammed his fourth Test ton.
Several former as well as current players congratulated Shan for his crucial century against the dominant hosts. He was also assisted by Shadab Khan, who played a vital 45-run cameo before getting dismissed off Dom Bess. Pakistan surely flagged off to a steady start and Twitter was all praises for Shan Masood. Kamran Akmal, Brad Hogg, Sohail Tanvir, Ramiz Raja and many more personalities extended wishes to the left-hander.
Meanwhile, as the commencement of much-awaited IPL 2020 is coming close, many cricketers have been busy in training themselves for the T20 extravaganza in UAE. India skipper Virat Kohli, who will be leading RCB on the UAE soil, also shared a video while working out and getting in shape before the tournament starts. Speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who is a vital cog of the Mumbai Indians side, also expressed his joy to brace the field in September.
Many cricketers rued the current situation in Mumbai. The financial capital of the country has been suffering since the past couple of days due to heavy rains. Some areas in south Mumbai, which witnessed a record rain on Wednesday, were affected due to water-logging.

5. Ramiz Raja rues Babar Azam’s departure on Day 2
A lose shot from Babar and his early exit may have downgraded the potential of a good batting day for Pakistan. Each new day in England presents different batting challenges. Today’s challenge: not to drive hard to a pitched up ball.
