Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

Marcus Stoinis (83 runs off 54 balls) and Nick Larkin (83 runs off 49 balls) played important knocks for their side. The duo stitched a vital partnership of 120 runs for the third wicket that took Melbourne Stars to a mammoth total of 194 runs for a loss of two wickets in 20 overs.

Sydney Thunder failed to chase the target as they could only score 166 runs in 20 overs due to which they had to suffer a crucial defeat by 28 runs. For them, Alex Ross turned out to be the top scorer, who muscled 58 runs off 38 balls studded with three boundaries and as many sixes. In the end, Larkin was awarded Man of the Match for his unbeaten knock in the crucial game.

Meanwhile, Jofra Archer, the right-arm fast bowler from England got ruled out from the IPL after he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his elbow. He sustained this injury during the recently concluded Test series against South Africa. As per the reports, he was in pain due to which he didn’t play in the fourth game against Proteas.

It was a massive blow for Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2020. Archer has so far played an important role for his IPL franchise with the ball but now he will not be able to take part in the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.
