The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Pakistan women’s all-round cricketer Kainat Imtiaz was busy training in the national jersey. Ever since her debut nearly a decade ago, she has been trying her heart out to cement her place in the Pakistan women’s team. On Sunday, Hardik Pandya played a superb hand of 42 runs off 22 balls to take India over the finishing line against Australia at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground. He found it tough to time the ball in the initial stages, but then found his rhythm.

It helped India take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The last of the matches will be played on Tuesday, December 8 at the SCG itself and India will be looking for a whitewash. Hardik was also the leading run-scorer in the ODI series with a top score of 92 at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. In that game, he set up a 150-run stand with Ravindra Jadeja, who has been ruled out of the T20I series.

Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan spent some time relaxing. The duo is currently busy playing in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Even as Shakib is plying his trade for the Gemcon Khulna, Mustafizur is honing his skills for the Gazi Group Chattogram. Both teams have qualified for the semis with four victories each.
