Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Pakistan beat South Africa by 95 runs in the second Test at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium. In their fourth innings, the Proteas needed 369 runs to win. But, in the end, they were bowled out for 274. Aiden Markram was outstanding for the visitors as he scored 108 runs off 243 balls with the help of 13 fours and three sixes. Temba Bavuma lent him support, scoring 61 runs off 125 balls with six fours.

Rassie van der Duseen got 48, but apart from the trio, there weren’t many contributions from the others. For Pakistan, Hasan Ali was the star of the show as he picked up 10 wickets in the match. In the fourth innings, he conceded 60 runs and picked up five wickets. In the first innings, he picked up a fifer as well. Ali went on to become the Player of the Match.

The fourth day of the first Test between India and England also took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai also known as the Chepauk. Ishant Sharma made his Test debut more than a decade ago and he picked up 300 wickets in the format.
