Cricketing Trends on social media today

Today, we have two birthday boys from the cricketing world. While New Zealand legend Stephen Fleming is celebrating his 48th birthday, Murali Vijay turns 37 today. And, several cricketers have taken to social media to wish the duo on their special day.

Today, legendary actor Rajinikanth was conferred with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and the likes of Dinesh Karthik and Hemang Badani have congratulated the Superstar for his accomplishment. Shoaib Akhtar has posted a controversial tweet, stating that he could have won the match for Pakistan if he was not left out of Pakistan playing XI in the 2011 World Cup semifinal against India. Led by a chancy 85 from Sachin Tendulkar, the Indian side beat Pakistan by 29 runs.

Also, we are just a week away from the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and Pat Cummins is on his way to India to join the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) camp. Brad Hogg has opined that Lungi Ngidi will fill in the void that has been created by the departure of Josh Hazelwood. The former Australian Chinaman bowler also feels that Rishabh Pant should be batting at N0.4 for the Delhi Capitals (DC) side.
