Cricketing trends on social media today

Social media was abuzz today wishing two cricketers from India and Pakistan on their birthdays. And, both these cricketers are wicket-keepers as well. While Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik turns 36 today, Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Rizwan is celebrating his 29th birthday today.

Also, England and New Zealand will lock horns in an enticing two-match Test series on English soil from 2nd June 2021, and the legendary James Anderson is ready for the battle in the whites against the Kiwis. Today is also a special day for Yusuf Pathan. For, the Indian cricketer was a part of the victorious Rajasthan Royals side that beat the Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural IPL final to lift their first IPL trophy on 1st June 2008.

Well, Pathan has more reasons to celebrate as well. Pathan was also a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side that won its 2nd IPL title on 1st June 2014 by defeating the Punjab Kings side. Meanwhile, Indian cricketing icon Virat Kohli has stated that he had never claimed to be a vegan. And finally, the great Sachin Tendulkar has highlighted the role that parents play in the lives of children on the occasion of the Global Day of Parents.
