The cricketing trends on the social media mostly revolved around the opening Test between England and India at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. Cheteshwar Pujara succumbed to a horrendous run-out with Virat Kohli at the non-striker’s end. Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif believes that Pujara should keep his eyes on the Indian batsmen next time onwards. James Anderson bowled exceptionally on the first day.
The speedster picked up Murali Vijay and KL Rahul and pushed the Indian batting on the backfoot. The spell drew accolades from former Australian cricketer Tom Moody and New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham. Sanjay Manjrekar, the cricketer turned commentator, believes the visiting team hasn’t done their homework in their batting. Subramaniam Badrinath sounded excited after coaching the Karaikudi Kaalai in this year’s TNPL.
Suresh Raina shared a picture with daughter Gracia. Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar was ecstatic after his coaching camp’s first clinic. Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez mentioned he will keep representing the national team irrespective of the category he gets placed in. Rashid Khan posted about his new foundation which will work for the Afghan children. Suryakumar Yadav expressed his joy after passing yo-yo test.
