In the historic England-West Indies Test series, the visitors emerged on top on the first day by restricting the Ben Stokes-led side to a modest total of 204 in the first innings. The Caribbean side, in their first innings, put up a strong batting show to gather 318 runs on the scoreboard. Kraigg Brathwaite (65) and Shane Dowrich (61) left their impression with their gritty half-centuries.

However, England, in the hope of saving the Test, flaunted a robust batting display in their second innings. Openers Rory Burns (42) and Dom Sibley (50) steered the Three Lions to a dominant start. During the course of the fourth day’s play, many members of the cricketing fraternity lauded individual performances of players from both sides.

One omission, that has grabbed the headlines ever since the Test started, is of Stuart Broad. The pacer was dropped from the side as Mark Wood, Jofra Archer and James Anderson were assigned the pace bowling duties. Former West Indies pacer Tino Best questioned Archer’s inclusion over Broad on Twitter. However, Archer responded back by saying that how’s Best not a coach yet, considering his in-depth analysis and cricketing knowledge.

Meanwhile, ICC reminisced the England-Australia encounter of the 2019 World Cup. Exactly one year ago, Eoin Morgan-led England defeated Australia by eight wickets to progress into the final of the mega-event. And, the rest was history as England clinched the coveted trophy by defeating New Zealand on the rule of boundary count in the final.

India opener Shikhar Dhawan, like all his teammates, has been spending time at home with his family at a time when the world is grappling with COVID-19 debacle. The southpaw shared an adorable video of his son Zoravar trying his hand at cooking in the kitchen.
