Here is how the cricketers spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Today, India was scheduled to play the first game of the three-match ODI series against South Africa. The match was scheduled to be played at Dharamsala stadium but due to heavy rain, the match got abandoned without any ball being bowled.

Later on, many former players like Aakash Chopra and others took to their social media handles and talked about the same. Earlier in 2019 during T20I series the first game was also called off due to rain between the same two teams at Dharamsala.

Meanwhile, Indian Premier League has suffered a major blow ahead of its 13th edition as the participation of overseas players is in doubt due to Coronavirus threats. Recently, the government announced that all existing visas, except diplomatic, official, UN/International organizations, employment and project visas, stand suspended till 15th April 2020. And, it indirectly means that the foreign players will not be allowed to enter the country.

Also, Jemimah Rodrigues shared a heartwarming post after losing final to Australia in T20 World Cup. She said on behalf of the team that they will come back stronger with some brilliant performances in the future. Dean Jones also backed Amir Yamin to recover from his injury soon that he sustained during the Pakistan Super League 2020.
