The cricketing trends on social media revolved around Team India’s thumping victory over Windies in Hyderabad inside three days. They have also won the series by 2-0 and stamped their authority at home winning their 10th series on the trot. Umesh Yadav was the hero for the hosts as he registered his maiden ten-wicket haul in the match. Many loved his spell and lauded Team India’s ‘ninja’ for his top effort in the match especially when Shardul Thakur was injured very early.

Prithvi Shaw was the find of the series as he smashed a scintillating century on his Test debut. Even in the second match, the 18-year-old wonder kid scored an attacking 70 in the first innings to put the opposition on the backfoot. He was also awarded the Man of the Series for his brave display with the bat on debut and will be presented with tougher challenges in the near future with Australia tour coming up.

There was also buzz about Gautam Gambhir‘s 37th birthday who smacked a sensational ton in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy against Haryana. His 104-run knock helped Delhi cruise to semi-final while chasing 230 runs. Almost all the Indian cricketers tweeted for him wishing on his special day and the cricketer, after the match, kept himself busy in thanking his well-wishers.
