The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The fourth and final Test between India and Australia got underway at The Gabba in Brisbane. Before the start of the day’s play, India were jolted with a couple of body blows after Jasprit Bumeah and Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out due to injuries. In their place, T Natarajan and Washington Sundar made their Test debuts.

Despite not having the most experienced pace attack, India picked up five wickets. Had Ajinkya Rahane not dropped Marnus Labuschagne when the latter was on 37, India would have been in a stronger position. Natarajan picked the crucial wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Matthew Wade. Sundar, on the other hand, got rid of Steve Smith, who had gotten his eyes in by then.

Suresh Raina and other Indian cricketers were happy after the duo made their debuts. At the close of play on the first day, Australia are at 274 for the loss of five wickets in 87 overs. Cameron Green and Tim Paine are in the middle.

Alex Hales was happy after he was picked by Islamabad United to play in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League. Arjun Tendulkar played his maiden T20 match for Mumbai against Haryana in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
