The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Mayank Agarwal, who has had a stupendous year in Test cricket, posted a picture a captioned it with a motivational quote. Saeed Ajmal, the former Pakistan skipper, is having a great time in Barcelona. He posted three photos where he was seen enjoying the Christmas season. Steve Smith, who is going though a lean patch, was over the moon after Australia won the Day-Night Test against New Zealand in Perth by a mammoth margin of 296 runs.
He is now waiting for the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), scheduled to get underway on December 26. David Warner was also a happy lot after winning the pink-ball Test. Meanwhile, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the West Indies managed to win by eight wickets after Shimron Hetmyer’s 139 and Shai Hope’s unbeaten ton. Sanjay Manjrekar, the cricketer turned commentator, was pretty impressed with how the Caribbean team approached the run-chase at the Chepauk.
Mohammad Azharuddin congratulated his son Assad and Anam Mirza, the sister of tennis star Sania Mirza, after the couple tied the knots. The former Indian cricketer posted a couple of adorable pictures from the wedding ceremony. Umesh Yadav, the Indian fast bowler, reckons that one can get the most comfort only while staying at home. Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim posted their pictures on Bangladesh’s Victory Day. Aakash Chopra was deeply saddened by the disturbing visuals from educational institutions.

6. Alviro Peterson backs Graeme Smith and Mark Boucher
What I do know about Graeme Smith and Mark Boucher, is that they will give the players all the support, because they've been there.
Up to the Proteas players to use that support and translate into performances. #Thestartoftherealsummer

8. A deeply disturbed Aakash Chopra
Deeply disturbing visuals from educational institutions across the country. Teary eyed. They are one of us. These kids are the future of this country. We don’t make India great by silencing their voices with the use of force. You’ll only turn them against India.
