While the cricketing trends on Friday revolved around various topics, both the Indian limited-overs openers were in unison. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma set their eyes on the upcoming World Cup 2019 and have begun their mental preparations for the tournament. While the left-hander shared a picture in the Indian jersey, Rohit is still enjoying his holiday in the Maldives. The duo has got a vital role to play at the campaign which kicks off on May 25 for India with the practice games first.
The other trends revolved around the England – Pakistan one-day series. Ramiz Raja expressed disappointment about Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman not scoring quickly despite putting on a good partnership. On the contrary, Michael Vaughan was mesmerised by the batting of Babar Azam and called him a class act. The other trends revolved around certain milestones and birthdays.
WV Raman wished BS Chandrasekar on his birthday and reminisced the times spent with the spinner. Meanwhile, Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka achieved a huge milestone. Their fabulous work continues as the Gracia Raina Foundation celebrated its second anniversary today. Mithali Raj also spent time with some young kids as a part of ‘The Mithali Raj initiative’.

4. Partnerships are key but it is important to score quickly, feels Ramiz Raja
Partnerships are suppose to win you matches but that partnership between Babar and Fakhar may have compromised paks chances.. after a bright start both got slow and conservative. It’s a 400 run pitch. Getting a 50 off 45 balls is archaic in present batting terms!

5. Indian women’s team head coach WV Raman reminisces the times he spent with BS Chandrasekar
Happy birthday #BSChandrasekar.. Spent 12 hours with him one day in 89. Tried my best to make him talk me through 1 of his match winning spells.. Failed miserably.. Proof enough that investigative journalism was not my cup of tea.. @BishanBedi
