The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Kainat Imtiaz, the Pakistan’s women’s all-rounder, got engaged and she was over the moon on the auspicious occasion. On Saturday, she was showered with wishes from her loved ones and cricket fans. She missed out on Pakistan’s campaign in the 2020 T20 World Cup and would be itching to make her comeback into the national team. Smriti Mandhana, the talented Indian batswoman, turned 24 years old and her teammates didn’t miss out on making it a special day for her. Over the last three years, the left-hander has weaved magic at the highest level.
The likes of Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Harleen Deol and many others lauded her on her birthday. Mandhana last played in the Women’s T20 WC and though she didn’t get a whole lot of runs, she remains to be a linchpin of her lineup. Pakistan’s Bismah Maroof and West Indies’ Carlos Brathwaite also celebrated their birthday on Saturday. Harbhajan Singh, the Indian off-spin bowler, reckons that having gratitude helps people lead a healthy life, mentally.
