The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Most of the talks regarding India’s shambolic eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Australia at the Adelaide Oval. In the first session of the third day’s play, India were shot out for 36 with Mohammed Shami not able to bat due to injury. None of the Indian batters could go into the double-digit score with Mayank Agarwal’s 9 being the top score.
Steve Smith couldn’t quite show his venom with the bat in hand. However, he didn’t forget to wish the Aussies on the stupendous victory. Hussain Talat wished Imad Wasim, who celebrated his 32nd birthday on Friday, December 18. Both Wasim and Talat are currently in New Zealand where they are playing in the three-match T20I series, which Pakistan are trailing 1-0 after the defeat at the Eden Park in Auckland.

8. Shahid Afridi lauds Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins
Brilliant display by Cummins and Hazelwood today, really enjoyed top-quality Test match fast bowling after long time. Indian batting is still capable of fighting back but it will be now tougher without Kohli.

11. Mohammad Kaif talks about the road ahead for Ajinkya Rahane
Switch off the phones, shut out the noise, stick together as a group and look ahead, that is the only way to get out of this right now for India. @ajinkyarahane88 needs to gather the group together and stamp his leadership going forward #hanginthere #AusvInd #cricket

14. Sanjay Manjrekar asks Indian batsmen to tighten their technique
36 will no doubt be looked at in isolation & should be too, but here’s India’s totals in last 3 Tests (2 in NZ) when the ball has moved around – 165, 191, 242, 124,244,36. Clearly India needs to improve its defensive skills. Easier said than done in today’s environment.
