Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The opening ODI between Bangladesh and West Indies took place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. After winning the toss, and opting to field first, the Tigers restricted the Caribbean team to a paltry 122 in 32.2 overs. Barring Kyle Mayers, who scored 40 and Rovman Powell, who got 28, no other West Indies batsman could make an impact. In their run-chase, the hosts took more than 30 overs and lost four wickets in their road to chasing down the target.

Left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein was impressive as he picked up the wickets of Liton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shakib Al Hasan. He also garnered praises from Ian Bishop, a current commentator and a former Caribbean fast bowler. Jason Mohamed also got his maiden international wicket in the form of Tamim Iqbal.

Indian left-arm spinner Axar Patel celebrated his birthday and on the auspicious day, he was showered with praises. Indian pacer Navdeep Siani posted a picture where he was returning to India. Ajinkya Rahane was a proud man after India won the four-match Test series against Australia 2-1. They also retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
