On the occasion of Father’s Day, many cricketers recollected special memories with their fathers. A plethora of players like Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar shared throwback pictures and reminisced old memories. Kohli, who lost his father at a tender age of 18, shared a childhood picture while remembering his late father.
Harbhajan Singh even remembered the advice given by his late father and said that there has not been a single day when he hasn’t missed his father, post his demise. India veteran Mohammad Kaif also penned down a heartwarming letter in the memory of his father and hailed his father as his first hero.
Prithvi Shaw also paid tribute to his father who has played a pivotal role in the youngster’s cricketing journey. Shaw expressed his love towards his father and revealed that he has always stood by him like a rock.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of International Yoga Day, many players urged their fans to incorporate yoga in their daily routine. India’s Test opener Mayank Agarwal also highlighted the importance of yoga and said that it’s the path to becoming a healthier human being. Suresh Raina also shared his picture while practising yoga in the outdoors.
Pakistan internationals Sohail Tanveer and Shahid Afridi reminisced their 2009 T20 World Cup triumph as it was on this day at Lord’s when the Men in Green lifted the coveted trophy.
