India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal celebrated his 30th birthday today on July 23. Wishes poured in from all over the world for Chahal, who is quite a figure on social media. Along with his on-field expeditions, the leg-spinner is also known for his social media activity. Chahal, amid the lockdown, had hogged the headlines for his hilarious TikTok videos.
A plethora of cricketers, from Sachin Tendulkar to coach Ravi Shastri, extended birthday wishes to Chahal. BCCI even shared Chahal’s impressive records while wishing him on his special day. Chahal is the first Indian bowler (men’s) to take a five-wicket haul in T20Is.
Along with being the fastest Indian to pluck 50 T20I wickets, Chahal is the second bowler to take six wickets in an ODI and a T20I. Rohit Sharma, a close friend of Chahal, also shared a throwback picture on the day. Rohit tagged Chahal as a ‘GOAT’ and called him the nation’s greatest treasure. Rohit and Chahal developed a strong bond during their time at Mumbai Indians (MI) from 2011 to 2013.
Suresh Raina, who has also been pretty active on social media in recent times, shared an adorable video while talking with his son Rio. The CSK vice-captain, yesterday, had also shared a heartwarming video while enjoying a car ride in Delhi rain with daughter Gracia.
India skipper Virat Kohli, on Instagram, posted a picture where his older self can be seen fist-bumping with his newer self. From being a chubby and impulsive teenager to being one of the best batsmen of the modern era, Virat’s rise at the international stage has been phenomenal.
