The Indian Premier League is going on in full swing and it is the biggest cricketing carnival in the entire country. But still, one man has managed to hog the limelight today on social media and has even pushed the IPL to the background. Well, he is also fondly called the ‘God of cricket’.
The great Sachin Tendulkar turned 48 today, and several prominent names from the world of cricket have wished Tendulkar on his 48th birthday. While Aakash Chopra stated that Tendulkar inspired a nation to fall in love with cricket, Wasim Jaffer opined that he was happy to share the dressing room with the master batsman.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli termed Tendulkar as an inspiration to many people. Meanwhile, Adam Gilchrist has a very interesting question. The former Aussie cricketing great wants to know whether the IPL is a distraction from the current Covid-19 situation that India finds itself in, or is it inappropriate to stage the IPL during this crisis. And finally, Shubman Gill has extended his gratitude to all the doctors and nurses in the healthcare fraternity.
