Cricketing trends on social media today

The cricketing trends revolved around the India-Australia game and also some congratulatory messages kept flowing after Sri Lanka registered a sensational series win in South Africa. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is continuing in full steam with Ishan Kishan and Manish Pandey scoring hundreds on Sunday.

India struggled on their first outing on home turf for over three months as they combated Australia on Sunday evening. Despite KL Rahul scoring a fifty on comeback, the other Indian players struggled profusely. Things just didn’t go well in favor of the Men in Blue who find themselves at a catastrophic position at half time.

Sri Lanka registered arguably the greatest achievement in their cricketing history after the 1996 World Cup win. They managed to defeat South Africa on their home turf despite not having Dinesh Chandimal and Rangana Herath recently retiring. The whole of the cricketing community was shell shocked and at the same time, they kept singing their praises the whole weekend.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy produced some amazing cricket on Sunday as Ishan Kishan became the first Indian cricketer to register two consecutive centuries in T20 cricket. Manish Pandey too scored a hundred against Arunachal Pradesh as Karnataka thrashed the North-eastern side.
