Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The third Test between India and England got underway on Thursday, February 24 at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. The opening session went to India as they picked up four wickets, conceding only 81 runs. Barring Zak Crawley, who replaced Rory Burns in the Three Lions’ playing eleven. The right-hander notched a classy half-century before being cleaned up by Axar Patel. His knock of 53 off 84 balls was laced with 10 glorious fours.

Axar also got the wicket of Jonny Bairstow in the first innings. In the meantime, Ishant Sharma, the Indian fast bowler, completed 100 Test matches. The speedster is mostly known for the spell he bowled to Ricky Ponting when India toured Australia back in 2007-8. Ishant has been an under-rated bowler in Indian cricket and in the first Test against the Brits, he also completed 300 Test wickets. He has shown a great amount of fitness in his career thus far.

The speedster was showered with praises from former and current Indian cricketers. Gautam Gambhir, the retired Indian batter, was delighted to see the newly-built Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. Manoj Tiwary, the veteran Bengal cricketer, was happy after starting his new journey off the field in the world of politics.
