Twitter was flooded with lakhs of tweets as people across the globe celebrated Eid al-Fitr amid COVID-19 pandemic. A plethora of cricketers shared Eid wishes and wished everyone happiness, wealth and good health on the occasion. Many India and Pakistan cricketers also extended wishes to their fans on the occasion.
Pakistan international Saeed Ajmal also shared adorable pictures with his family while celebrating Eid. Pakistan Cricket also passed on Eid wishes to everyone.
Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar also wished everyone a very happy Eid. However, Akhtar also expressed that he doesn’t feel like celebrating Eid this time due to the present situation across the globe. At a time when the world has been battling against COVID-19, Pakistan’s woes were multiplied on Saturday when a PIA plane crashed near Karachi, resulting in 97 deaths.
Virat Kohli, who has been spending his quarantine period with wife Anushka Sharma during the lockdown, shared a throwback picture. Kohli has been quite active on social media these days and he has been spotted interacting with many sportspersons through Instagram live.
Several pairs of brothers have braced the field since the inception of the sport. One of them is the pair of Irfan and Yusuf Pathan. Elder brother Yusuf, on the occasion of ‘Brother’s Day’, passed on wishes to Irfan and said that being a brother is sometimes better than being a superhero.
