Today is a day of gargantuan proportions for Indian cricket. For, it was on this very date, 38 years ago, that the Indian team created history. The Kapil Dev-led Indian side defeated the West Indies outfit in the final of the 1983 World Cup to clinch the title and scripted a fairytale.
And, a plethora of Indian cricketers have tweeted about this historic occasion. Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar feels that 25th June 1983 changed Indian cricket forever, while Ravichandran Ashwin has tweeted that he is indebted to the Indian players who featured in the 1983 World Cup.
