Carrying on her sublime form at the top, Shafali Verma smashed a quick-fire 46-run knock to propel her side into the semi-finals of the tournament. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has emerged as one of the frontrunners to clinch the coveted trophy. India Women stalwart Mithali Raj also heaped praise on Shafali Verma and the Women in Blue for their heroics.
Ahead of the much-awaited IPL 2020 season, most fans were expecting Kane Williamson to lead the side. The southpaw has been a prominent figure in the IPL and has racked up 400+ runs in every IPL season since 2013.
Amid the ongoing Delhi riots which have been hogging headlines recently, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi expressed his concern regarding the same.
