The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Mumbai’s Sarfaraz Khan smacked a brilliant ton against Himachal Pradesh in a Ranji Trophy game. In the previous game, he scored a triple century and he carried his scintillating form in the next game. He went unbeaten on 226 runs on Day 1. The right-handed batsman also helped his side in rescuing from the early setbacks.
Umar Gul said thanks to PCB for giving him an award for his registering amazing bowling figures of 5/6 in a T20I game. It is still the best bowling figures till date that was recorded by a bowler in the shorter format. On the other hand, the third game of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh got abandoned due to heavy rain.
After that, the Men in Green, who had already won the first two matches lifted the winner’s trophy. Meanwhile, Babar Azam was awarded Man of the series for his valuable contribution with the bat. The cricketing fraternity also shared their grief on the demise of Basketball legend Kobe Bryant, who met with a tragic accident in a helicopter’s crash.
