Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Today, the Indian Women’s Cricket team registered an amazing win against Sri Lanka Women in the ongoing T20 World Cup. This has already reserved their berth in the semi-final stage of the tournament. They won the game by a margin of seven wickets as they chased the target of 113 runs in 14.4 overs.

Shafali Verma ended as the top scorer in the match as she mustered 47 runs off 34 balls studded with seven boundaries and one six. Now, they are scheduled to play the semi-final of the tournament at Sydney Cricket Ground on March 5. The fans including many cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Aakash Chopra and VVS Laxman congratulated Indian Women for their brilliant performance.

On the other hand, India got involved in the 2nd Test of the two-match series against New Zealand. Meanwhile, the poor performance of the visitors continued as they got dismissed on a below-par score of 242 runs. Prithvi Shaw, Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari only managed to score half-centuries in the first innings.
