The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Today, New Zealand registered a victory over England in two-match Test series by 1-0. The 2nd Test played at the Seddon Park ended in a draw after the umpire called off the game on Day 5 due to rain.
However, Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor scored centuries for their side. Moreover, Taylor also became the second Kiwi cricketer to go past 7000 runs mark in Test cricket. On his big achievement, Mitchell McClenaghan took congratulated his teammate on social media.
Meanwhile, today Mithali Raj, Indian Women’s cricketer, is celebrating her 37th birthday. On her special day, she received wishes from every nook and corner across the globe. Even former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wished her on the occasion.
Manish Pandey got married to Indian actress Ashrita Shetty. He was poured with wishes from everywhere. Also, cricketers like Rashid Khan, Yusuf Pathan and many more took their Twitter to handle and blessed him with heartwarming messages.
On the other hand, the former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram shared a post congratulating Fox cricket team for their commendable work during the two-match Test series between Australia and Pakistan. He also looked hopefull to be back soon in the near future.
