Twitter was flooded with congratulatory wishes in no time after India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, on Thursday, took it to social media to announce that he and Natasa Stankovic have been blessed with a baby boy. Hardik and Natasa had earlier informed their fans about her pregnancy in May with an Instagram post. On May 31, the couple revealed that they are expecting their first child after getting engaged on January 1.

The couple had also tied the knot at home during the COVID-19 lockdown. Hardik, a vital part of Team India, was to make a comeback during the South Africa tour of India. However, the first match of the series got washed out and the series eventually got called off in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

A plethora of cricketers including KL Rahul, Sachin Tendulkar, Suryakumar Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal extended wishes to Hardik on Instagram as well as Twitter. Hardik is all set to brace the field for Mumbai Indians in the thirteenth edition of the IPL, which is slated to take place in the UAE during September-November window.

Wishes also poured in for Suresh Raina as he completed 15 years in international cricket. The left-hander, in 2005, broke into the national side on the very same day (30 July). His first international expedition was against Sri Lanka in an ODI in Dambulla.

Raina, who won the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy under Dhoni, has played 226 ODIs, scoring 5615 runs, including 5 tons and 36 fifties. He also has played 78 T20Is and 18 Tests for the national side. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) also celebrated the milestone and passed on wishes to “Chinna Thala”.
