Former India President and Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee breathed his last on Monday. Mukherjee, 84, had undergone brain surgery at the Army Research and Referral hospital in the national capital. His health condition deteriorated today and he was in a state of septic shock due to a lung infection. His death was announced by his son Abhijit Mukherjee.
Twitter was flooded with condolences for Mukherjee. Several cricketers mourned his demise and paid tribute to him. Current Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condoled the demise of Mukherjee.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore unveiled their new jersey for this year’s IPL. The franchise has also added a golden helmet to give players a fresh look. The new jersey flaunts red and black colour, with the logos of Muthoot Fincorp and Myntra in the front.
The RCB players have started practising after completing the mandatory self-isolation. The team had also shared many pictures and clips of the same. Adam Zampa also started trending on Twitter after he was announced as a replacement for Kane Richardson. The Australian will join the squad after the England limited-overs series.
