Cricketing trends on social media today

Only one man grabbed the attention on social media in the cricketing world today, and it is the birthday boy, Ajinkya Rahane. The Indian cricketer turns 33 today, and several cricketers have taken to social media to wish the Indian Test vice-captain.

While Vinod Kambli wished Rahane good luck for the World Test Championship Final (WTC), Mohammad Kaif labeled Rahane as a perfect role model. VVS Laxman stated that Rahane has played a pivotal role in helping the Indian side reach the summit clash of the World Test Championship. And, Rishabh Pant hopes that Rahane experiences a year filled with tons of runs and happiness.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand side has declared their second innings with the scorecard reading 169/6 and has set England a target of 273 for victory in the first Test match between the two sides at Lord’s. And, the legendary Shane Warne has heaped praise on Kane Williamson for a fantastic declaration decision.

Sanjay Manjrekar has stated that Ravichandran Ashwin is not an all-time great for India yet. Manjrekar added that only the likes of Don Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virat Kohli can be considered as all-time greats.
