The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around David Warner‘s scintillating ton against Bangladesh in the ongoing World Cup. The left-hander continued his good form to slam 166 runs off just 147 deliveries with 14 fours and five sixes at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The fraternity was in awe of the southpaw for a superb knock he played and many felt that he missed out on a well-deserved double century.

Shane Warne, however, was critical of Australia’s approach early on in the innings. He felt that the Men in Yellow can challenge England and India with the firepower they have. But he wasn’t happy with the batsmen playing conservatively in the middle overs. The former Australia cricketer was delighted though to see the way his team launched an assault in the death overs. Though he stayed put to his opinion that they should’ve upped the ante much earlier.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricketers spent some valuable time with the budding cricketers ahead of their game against Afghanistan. The team also trained in the nets for the game in Southampton and Yuzvendra Chahal posted a picture with Rishabh Pant. Yuvraj Singh felt sad for Shikhar Dhawan after the latter got ruled out of the tournament and hoped that he will recover quickly and come back on the field.
