Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around various events on Wednesday with the cricketers tweeting on different topics. The Indian Premier League (IPL) fever is starting to take over the cricketing world as the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players, Tom Banton and Dinesh Karthik, cited the importance of the fans and how their backing inspires them to do well during the cash-rich league.

Former India cricketer Hemang Badani, meanwhile, posted a video of him, picking five best moments of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL. The MS Dhoni-led side has won the title three times and is the second most successful team in the tournament only behind the Mumbai Indians (MI) who have won the IPL four times. The two teams will also face-off in the tournament opener this year on September 19.

Among other trends, South Africa all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo was delighted to see Tabraiz Shamsi surge in T20I rankings after the T20I series between England and Australia. The chinaman bowler benefitted after Adam Zampa slipped two places after a not so great show in the series.
