Rakesh Deva Reddy, CT’s live show analyst, is set to join Sony’s Telugu commentary panel for the Ashes 2021-22.

CricTracker’s analyst Rakesh Deva Reddy has been included in the Telugu commentary panel of Sony Six, the official broadcasters for the Ashes 2021-22. Hailing from a middle-class family in Telangana’s Warangal district, Reddy had a keen interest in the sport of cricket.

A certified coach in the current time, he has also been a part of the Warangal district team in his early days, while he has later gone on to play professional cricket at various levels, including leagues organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). A software engineer by profession initially, Reddy moved to the United States of America (USA) for pursuing higher education before he settled there.

Fondly termed as RDR, he has also established a cricket academy by the name of “RDR’s centre for cricketing excellence”, where he personally coaches, guides and trains young and budding professional cricketers under his supervision. Several cricketers, both male and female, who have been trained at Reddy’s centre, have been selected in the US National Cricket Team.

Reddy’s association with CricTracker has been in the capacity of a cricket analyst; he is a part of the live show ‘In the Air’, which is aired before and after every cricket match involving India, apart from multi-team events like the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the T20 World Cup.

Reddy is a renowned television face, having been a part of various cricket-related shows in local and regional news channels as a panellist/guest. In his first television stint with Sony for the prestigious Ashes series, he will be seen giving his views and analysing the game alongside the likes of former India spinner Venkatapathi Raju and Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, former wicketkeeper Saba Karim and a host of other prominent Telugu cricket analysts during the second Test, which is a pink-ball affair, being played at the Adelaide Oval.
