In the matches held between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, the veteran batsman MS Dhoni has hit the most runs (629), followed by Suresh Raina (552), Shikhar Dhawan (433), and Murali Vijay (346). Among the bowlers, Ravichandran Ashwin and Dwayne Bravo have picked up 19 wickets each, followed by Ravindra Jadeja (17) and Albie Morkel (13).

Both sides last met in Match No. 13 of IPL 2024 at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam where Delhi Capitals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs. Delhi Capitals batted first and posted a total of 191 in the allotted 20 overs. David Warner and Rishabh Pant scored 52 and 51 runs respectively. In reply, Ajinkya Rahane scored 45 runs in 30 balls and MS Dhoni pulled off 37 in 16 balls. The rest of the batting line-up failed as CSK managed to score only 171/6 in 20 overs. All the CSK bowlers were amongst the wickets with pacer Matheesha  Pathirana being the pick of the lot for his spell of 3/33(4).
