The build up to the Indo-Pak clash in the Champions Trophy has been rising with every passing moment. The anticipation for the game has been increasing. With a day to go for the mother of all clashes, one would expect both sides to be practising very hard for the ultimate battle. However, the rain gods seem to be playing the spoilsport. Team India were forced to practice indoors due to persistent rain at Edgbaston.
The rain did stop for brief occasions but that did not work out well enough for the players to have a safe net session. Hence, the players of Team India were seen having an indoor practice session. The official social media handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted pictures of the players sweating it out at the indoor practice arena.
The likes of Yuvraj Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli can be seen practising in the pictures uploaded by the BCCI. They even added a caption to the picture that read, “The rain is keeping #TeamIndia indoors #CT17 #INDvPAK.”

The big game
Team India is set to start their title defence against the arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4 at Birmingham. The weather remains to be a constant threat but nothing can be ascertained about the possible conditions at the moment. Talking about the team forms, Pakistan had seen a washed out warm-up game against Australia. In the match prior to that, they had narrowly won against Bangladesh riding on Fahim Ashraf’s blitz.
The Indian team, on the other hand, has been in a rampaging form. They beat New Zealand in a rain affected game in their first warm-up. The next match saw them come up with a complete performance as they bundled out Bangladesh for a paltry 84 after having posted a mammoth 324 runs on the board.
