In a game that has seen a lot of twists and turns over the last few days, the Centurion Test is finally heading towards the end. With India reduced to 35/3 chasing a target of 287, South Africa seem to be in complete control of the match.

This match has already seen a good amount of controversies. Virat Kohli arguing with an umpire resulted in a 25% cut in his match fee. He has often been viewed being animated after every opposition wicket. Later today, when Kohli got out, Lungi Ngidi gave him a send-off which almost led to an altercation.

However, one more incident by the youngster rocked the cradles of the oldest cricketer in the Indian batting lineup. Parthiv Patel ended up hurting his chest to Ngidi’s delivery. It was so bad that Parthiv was left gasping for breath.

As some of the South African players surrounded and enquired Parthiv, the bowler didn’t. Indeed the 21-year-old could be seen returning to his run up and waiting for the batsman to get ready. The injured South African pacer Dale Steyn couldn’t help but tweet about the same.

Steyn in awe of Lungi

Suggesting that the aggression was a part of any pacers trait, he lauded Ngidi’s approach. The pacer was on a roll today having got a couple of wickets including the all-important wicket of the opposition skipper.

He tweeted the following:

“Love that. PP down and Lungi ready at his mark for more #fastbowlersdontcare,”

While Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the series, the pacer has been in awe of youngster Ngidi. The 21-year-old has taken everyone by surprise with his sensational bowling spells. Also with 3 wickets down and skipper Virat Kohli already back to the pavilion, Ngidi will be in a hurry to end it as early as possible for his team on the final day.

India, on the other hand, would want to put up a stunning fight and keep the hosts at bay. Also, if the likes of Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma step up to the task, we might be in for a humdinger in Centurion.
