South African speedster Dale Steyn earlier this week indicated he was ready to make a comeback to the sport and has started to sweat it out in the quest to make a return to the national side. The fast bowler himself revealed this by posting a video on his Instagram account.

The fast bowler is out of the action since November last year when he fractured his shoulder while playing against Australia. However, he had previously targeted Champions Trophy and England tour to make a return but unfortunately could not get fit in time for both the assignments. Now though, he finally seems to have recovered from his troublesome shoulder.

Steyn has started training

The 34-year-old took to Instagram and posted a video of his training. In the video, it can be seen that the bowler first slowly runs up and bowls and then gradually increases his speed with his full bowling run up. Though, he still looks down on pace but nevertheless he has started to bowl. His fans looked delighted after watching the video and welcomed him back to cricket. Few wrote that they have been eagerly waiting for him to bowl again.

The comeback date of the veteran is not yet revealed but surely he will be coming back soon to the national side. South Africa side anyway is struggling recently after a poor Champions Trophy where they couldn’t even make it to the semis and then the England tour on which they couldn’t win any series across formats.

Vernon Philander has also been struggling with his fitness and the return of Steyn would definitely bolster the already superb bowling attack. With India, the number 1 Test side set to visit the African shores in December, the pacer would be gearing up for that series to mark his comeback to the International cricket. India are scheduled to play a full series this time which includes 4 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is.
