The COVID-19 pandemic has caused damage to the world in unimaginable ways, and the world of cricket also suffered big time in the same line. The action was on halt for almost six months, and leagues had to be carried in bio-bubble. Players also didn’t get to see their family for a long time due to strict protocols of the COVID-19 bubble. In the same line, Steve Smith’s wife, Dani Willis, didn’t get to see her husband for a long time.

Steve Smith was firstly busy in the white-ball series against England and then went to UAE for leading the Rajasthan Royals side in IPL 2020. Ever since returning, he has been up against India for the mega-series. Her wife couldn’t even spend Christmas with Smith and came with an emotional post on the same day. She called it a ‘covidchristmas,’ where she didn’t get to see Smith and added that she has sent her love to all those who are away from their loved one.

Dani Willis even travelled from Sydney to Melbourne to spend Christmas with Smith but was denied entry in the camp due to strict protocols of the bio-bubble. However, she has revealed her happiness recently that she is going to see her husband on New Year’s eve, and came with and came up with an Instagram post. The next Australia India Test match is going to be held in Sydney from January 7 onwards, and that is how the couple got reunited.

Talking about Steve Smith’s outing so far in the series, he was in red hot form during the limited-overs series where he came with back to back century against India. However, he is just not appearing to be in his rhythm in the longest format of the game. Big names from Australia have stated that his form is too important for Australia to bounce back well.

Smith managed just eight runs from the second Test match as he got them in the 2nd innings. He went back for a duck in the first innings.
