Darren Sammy led from the front in his side Rajshahi Kings 9 run win over Khulna Titans. The Rajshahi Kings have had an average season thus far. They have been highly inconsistent in this edition of the league. Their skipper, Darren Sammy, too, looked out of sorts for the first half of the season. However, since the last game, Sammy has been on a roll.

He was instrumental in his side’s win in the last match. His 44 off just 18 had earned him the Man of the Match. Today, in the match against the Khulna Titans, he continued from where he had left in the last match. Rajshahi Kings were reeling on 88/6 after 15 overs. Sammy hit a blitzkrieg 71 off mere 34 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes. His efforts saw the Kings post a sizable 154 on the board. All was well until then.

Things turned ugly when Sammy came into bowl in the 11th over of the Khulna Titans run chase. Riki Wessels looked set for the Titans. Sammy got through his defenses and got the key wicket for the Kings. Considering the match situation, it was a key wicket. Thus, the celebrations were bound to come. Sammy took it to a whole new level by celebrating it in the WWE way.

WWE superstar Triple H had his signature celebration move which Sammy copied. Such a move on the cricket field did not look too good. For a player like Darren Sammy, who has captained a World Cup winning team, this looked unethical. Sammy has come up with better celebrations in the past.

He had the babysitting celebration a couple of years ago when he played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was later the part of the West Indies team that was known to celebrate in the Gangnam style. They later followed it up with the Champion dance moves during their recent World T20 win.

Whether Sammy gets fined for his celebrations in the BPL or not, remains to be an unsolved issue. There has been no official comment made on it yet.
